The infamous “Time ‘O The Month” crayola crayon was first put into the 64 pack of crayons on May 14th, 1979. Only about 10,000 crayons were made, making it the least populated of all 567 crayola colors. Upon it’s arrival into stores around the country, it caused an uproar among parents and store owners. It was quickly discontinued in July of the same year after multiple lawsuits deeming the color “inappropriate for the consumers of Crayola products”. It is expected only 2,000 TOTM crayons exist today.
